Penticton Kiwanis Seniors’ Housing Construction Project Update
Construction on Penticton Kiwanis Seniors’ Housing project saw Conroy Exteriors completing approximately 65% of the deck soffit installation.
Sandhill Mechanical has completed the rough-in plumbing for the building. Sun Valley Electric is pulling wires for units on the second floor. Peoples insulation has completed their installation for all the third floor units, and has also spray-foamed the second floor rim joist cavities. All-Roc Drywall has started boarding on the third floor, while Zapora Painting has started priming units on the fourth floor.
ThyssenKrupp Elevator delivered the elevator parts and is awaiting permanent power to start installing the elevators.
Construction Update on Penticton Kiwanis Multifamily Project
Construction in Penticton’s Van Horne Street for the Penticton Kiwanis’s Seniors Housing project, being developed by Scuka Enterprises, had the excavation completed for installation of Telus and Shaw conduit across the road this past week. Scuka’s in house crews have continued working on the incidental back framing and installation of the building paper. The exterior of the multifamily housing project has Conroy Exteriors progressing with the soffit installation at the deck areas, and the south side is almost complete. Total Concrete by Design placed and finished all the patios and entrances. Interior Roofing has completed the main roof including flashing and the elevator roof. The building is really starting to shape up from the outside!
Penticton Kiwanis Multifamily Construction Site Update
This past week at the Penticton Kiwanis construction site being built by the Penticton Kiwanis society, the project’s site office was relocated to accommodate the new rainwater retention system installation. The senior’s multifamily building has quite a bit of civil work happening with the transformer base installation and connections for Telus and cable crossing the road completed.
Penticton Kiwanis Seniors Housing Construction Progress
Scuka Enterprises’ Penticton Kiwanis seniors housing construction site is progressing. Drywall boarding and taping continues on the fourth floor by All-Roc Drywall with one unit per day and taping right behind them. Installation of drop ceilings will soon follow.
Sprinkler lines installed by J&B Fire Protection were tested on the first and second floors. The fire sprinkler rough in is complete for all units and the inspection was done by the City of Penticton.
Penticton Kiwanis Construction Site BBQ a Success
This week, Scuka Enterprises’ Penticton Kiwanis seniors housing construction site had Peoples Insulation doing installation at our multifamily development. Drywall was delivered to the construction project site, and drywall boarding has started on being done by All-Roc Drywall. Electrical rough in by SunValley Electric continues on the 4th floor. D&G Mechanical is in the process of making duct work for the make-up air units and getting ready to install PTAC sleeves upon their arrival. Far Beyond Driven is the finish carpenter and has installed just about all the doors. Scuka Enterprises construction crew is installing TYPAR and they are about 25% complete now. J&B Fire Protection has roughed in the fire sprinklers on the 2nd and main floor for an upcoming inspection. Deck soffit installation is expected to be started next week by Conroy Exteriors.

Sandhill Mechanical Ltd. was busy on Scuka Enterprises construction site in Penticton last week almost completing the main waterline installation along with setting up the tubs and showers for the senior’s housing complex.
The electrical preparation by Sun Valley Electric for the BC Housing units is approximately 80% complete on the fourth floor, also the Sundeck Centre has completed the second and third floor decks and are also working on the fourth floor where they are already 95% complete and expecting to finish installation as soon as today.
Scuka Enterprises Penticton Construction Project Has Joe Dees & “Bee’s” Busy, Busy!
Scuka Enterprises Penticton housing project has our site supervisor Joe Dees and crew continually busy as the main roof cap was approximately 95% complete as of last week along with the entrance roof installation which was to follow shortly thereafter done by Interior Roofing Ltd. Drywall fireguard was also being installed on the third floor corridor ceiling as of last Monday by Allrock Drywall.
The Seniors multi-family housing complex being developed by Penticton Kiwanis and BC Housing is seeing the vinyl decking being installed on the third floor by the Sundeck Centre and as of last Tuesday the rough-ins for the fire sprinklers was at 90% complete on the fourth floor by J & B Fire Protection.
Construction Of Penticton’s Kiwanis Housing Project… Busy, Busy, Busy And With A New-bie!
First off Scuka Enterprises Ltd. would like to introduce and welcome Joe Dee’s, who has joined our project team as the Site Supervisor at our Penticton Kiwanis building location.
Scuka Enterprises Penticton Housing multi-family development is very busy at the site as the electrical, telephone and cable trench was dug up and has already been backfilled.
The Senior’s housing project was seeing vinyl decking installation on the second floor as of June 30th which is in progress.
D&G Mechanical Ltd. was also at the Senior’s condo starting the installation of the wall caps while Sun Valley Electric was busy working on the fourth floor corridor.
Scuka Enterprises Penticton Kiwanis Multi-Family Construction Project Is Now Waterproof!
As of last week, Scuka’s Penticton Senior’s housing project has seen the start and completion of the roof membrane installed by Interior Roofing Ltd. who are now nearing completion placing the cap sheet.
Vinyl decking installation of the BC Housing Senior’s units has the Sundeck Centre keeping quite busy while Sun Valley Electric was also working on the wiring for the first floor then moving on to the fourth floor rough-in.
Scuka’s construction project is in the process of Tyvec installation which was started on Wednesday June 23rd and as of Thursday June 24th, the fire caulking for the tub areas was started in preparation for the tub and shower installations.
